Holistic chiropractic
What is holistic chiropractic?
Holistic chiropractic is an approach to chiropractic that views the human body as a holistic system and aims to improve the patient’s well-being and health by targeting not only the treatment of symptoms, but also the causes of discomfort.
- Holistic chiropractors view the body as a unit of bones, muscles, nerves and other tissues. They believe that a person’s health depends on the harmonious functioning of all these parts.
- Finding the Cause: Rather than just treating symptoms, holistic chiropractic seeks to identify the underlying causes of ailments. This can be accomplished through a thorough medical history, physical examinations and imaging techniques.
- Individualization: Each patient is considered unique, and treatment plans are tailored to each patient’s individual needs and goals.
- Manual Techniques: Like traditional chiropractic, holistic chiropractic uses manual techniques to adjust the spine and joints and optimize nervous system function.
- Lifestyle and nutritional recommendations: Holistic chiropractors can also make recommendations for lifestyle and dietary changes to support health and wellness.
- Holistic health: holistic chiropractic aims to not only relieve symptoms, but also promote overall health and wellness. This may include alternative therapies and approaches such as massage, acupuncture and stress management.
